TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION

PRX-T33 is a skin biostimulant obtained from a combination of 33% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) with hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. Thanks to this patented formula, TCA ceases to act as an aggressive peel and becomes a powerful biostimulant: the peroxide modulates the caustic action of the acid, preventing flaking and allowing the product to penetrate the dermis where it activates fibroblasts and growth factors. The result is deep stimulation of collagen and elastin without needles, suitable for all seasons and all skin types. The treatment lasts about 45 minutes and produces an immediate 'plumping effect'. The procedure is aimed at improving skin tone and the signs of skin ageing, while also reducing blemishes, acne scars and imperfections.

The evolution of this technology is PRX-Plus, a skin booster that maintains the principle of PRX-T33 but expands its potential. Instead of TCA, the more delicate ammonium trichloroacetate (ATCA) is used, and the formula is enriched with homocysteine, citric and phytic acids. This patented combination stimulates deep skin regeneration, improving brightness, firmness and skin tone evenness without visible exfoliation. Like PRX-T33, PRX-Plus is painless, requires no needles or recovery time, and is safe for dark skin types and during the summer months. Clinical studies show a reduction in wrinkle depth, a decrease in micro-roughness and pores, regulation of sebum production and greater uniformity and brightness of the complexion.

Studio 17 offers a targeted biorevitalisation programme that uses both PRX variants: on the one hand, PRX-T33 for those who are already familiar with the product and are looking for the special 'glow' effect provided by the original formula; on the other hand, the innovative PRX-PLUS for those who want a more comfortable treatment that is also suitable for more sensitive skin. Specifically, PRX-PLUS is particularly effective in treating pronounced discolouration and melasma. Both versions are ideal for improving dull skin, uneven texture, imperfections, enlarged pores, acne scars, wrinkles and loss of tone.

Our two treatment options

ESSENTIAL

The Essential formula (45 minutes) includes cleansing and preparing the skin with the special WiQo P-Solution, applying the chosen biostimulating product with massage, applying the WiQo Fruit Mask and, finally, applying the nourishing and moisturising WIQo cream, essential for post-treatment recovery.

COMFORT

The Comfort formula (75 minutes) adds a hyaluronic acid mask to the treatment, which deeply rehydrates, soothes the skin and amplifies the plumping effect. The mask acts for about 15-20 minutes while a relaxing massage is performed on the neck and shoulders. The treatment ends with the application of WiQo nourishing and moisturising cream, essential for post-treatment recovery. The Comfort formula is ideal for those who want a more cocooning treatment or are looking for a pre-event booster.

Optional areas

Standard protocols are applied to the face and neck. For a comprehensive treatment, biostimulation can be extended to the décolleté and hands. Upon request, the treatment can also be extended to other areas of the body.

1 - The kit is worth CHF 140 and contains a nourishing day cream and a smoothing night fluid by WiQo, to be used at home in the days following the sessions to prolong the effect. PRX-T33 and PRX-Plus are WiQo products.

For optimal results, we recommend cycles of 5 sessions at intervals of at least 7 and at most 14 days. Afterwards, a maintenance session can be performed every 30/40 days and the cycle repeated after at least 4 or 6 months.

What is PRX-T33?
PRX-T33 is a patented formulation that combines 33% trichloroacetic acid (TCA), hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. The peroxide modulates the action of the TCA, preventing causticisation of the skin surface and allowing the acid to stimulate fibroblasts deep down. Unlike traditional chemical peels, it does not cause frosting or flaking. It is applied with a manual massage, without needles or anaesthesia.
How does the PRX-PLUS differ from the PRX-T33?
PRX-PLUS was developed as an evolution of PRX-T33. It uses ammonium trichloroacetate (ATCA) instead of TCA and contains homocysteine acid together with citric and phytic acids. This gentler formula still stimulates the dermis, but is more comfortable and suitable for sensitive skin and is particularly recommended for skin with blemishes, discolouration and melasma.
What aesthetic problems can be treated?
PRX-Therapy is recommended for combating loss of tone and elastosis in the face, neck and décolleté, improving skin texture and reducing the visibility of pores. It is also useful for reducing acne scars and small wrinkles, evening out skin tone and treating discolouration, hyperpigmentation and melasma.
How many sessions are required?
For both types of PRX, we recommend a cycle of 5 sessions at intervals of approximately 7-10 days, with maintenance sessions after 30-40 days. We recommend repeating the cycle after 6 months.
Is the treatment painful?
No. Massage with biostimulating gel may cause a sensation of warmth or slight tingling, but no anaesthetic is required. PRX-PLUS, thanks to the presence of ATCA, is even more comfortable.
Are there any recovery times or side effects?
There is no recovery time: the skin appears slightly reddened for only a few minutes and there is no peeling. As the product is not photosensitising, the treatment can also be carried out in summer. However, daily application of moisturiser and SPF 50 sunscreen is recommended.
Who cannot undergo treatment?
The treatment is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of skin infections or active herpes lesions, seborrheic dermatitis, irritated skin or allergy to kojic acid, the latter contraindication only for PRX-T33.
What precautions should be taken after treatment?
After the session, we recommend applying the nourishing cream contained in the WiQo kit provided or an equivalent highly nourishing cream. Avoid using aggressive cosmetics for 24 hours. In the 48 hours following treatment, it is advisable to avoid tanning lamps and other sources of heat. Use high SPF sunscreen.
Can PRX Therapy be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Thanks to its ability to activate skin regeneration, PRX Therapy can be perfectly integrated with other aesthetic and medical treatments to enhance their effects, such as Hydrafacial.
